It was a nice and pleasant experience working with B&B editor Lynne Soto, who tested my project and created the pendants that are in the magazine.
In the next issue of Bead&Button magazine, one of my bracelets will be published, so I am excited about it, too ;)
I got "hooked" on the Saraguro Hojas pattern and have already created a few items by using it. This pendant is one of the results of "playing" with this lovely traditional pattern. If you would like to make this pendant, you'll only need an hour or so to complete one... That's why I managed to create 6 of them in one day..
Congratulations! I look forward to beading one:) If you're thinking about publishing any other instructions, may I suggest the necklace you made for the snow queen competition? (Which I voted for, btw, hehe!)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, Smadar! This is only the first of many for you, of that I'm sure. That beautiful pendant will be on many necks in short order! :D

ReplyDeleteMazal tov!!!...VERY exciting to be published...simply beautiful, delicate, feminine designs...many more!!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulate, beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely loved your pendant, and just finished making one for my sister, however, I am having some trouble getting the pendant to lie flat. Could you please let me in on the secret?? I think one of the problems could be the fact that I could only find 4mm bicones, so I deleted the two end beads on either side of the bicone in order to make that distance just a bit shorter, but it still has a tendancy to bunch a little bit. Please let me know what you think!
