My First Publication In Print

Finally, I got my copy of Jan/Feb Bead&Button magazine this afternoon. I have my first publication in print in this issue! I am proud to have one of my designs published among all the gorgeous projects in there. :)
It was a nice and pleasant experience working with B&B editor Lynne Soto, who tested my project and created the pendants that are in the magazine.
In the next issue of Bead&Button magazine, one of my bracelets will be published, so I am excited about it, too ;)



I got "hooked" on the Saraguro Hojas pattern and have already created a few items by using it. This pendant is one of the results of "playing" with this lovely traditional pattern. If you would like to make this pendant, you'll only need an hour or so to complete one... That's why I managed to create 6 of them in one day..

    I absolutely loved your pendant, and just finished making one for my sister, however, I am having some trouble getting the pendant to lie flat. Could you please let me in on the secret?? I think one of the problems could be the fact that I could only find 4mm bicones, so I deleted the two end beads on either side of the bicone in order to make that distance just a bit shorter, but it still has a tendancy to bunch a little bit. Please let me know what you think!

    Summer, thank you for voting for my "Snow Queen" entry, and as for your suggestion - I didn't take any notes and I don't really remember what I've done... :D, but maybe in the future I'll design a similar necklace for publication.

    This was the first projest tha i made from the magazine. I have made 2 already. i plan on making two with 15s and 2mm round crystals for earrings.
