EBW July Challenge - I Won :)

My entry was the "Roses in the Night Sky" cuff bracelet.
Thanks to everyone who voted for me!
The person who wins the challenge has to pick the theme for next month's challenge. I still haven't decided yet. I didn't think that it would be hard to do, but it is! :)

Second runner-up is the gorgeous piece by ThePreciousBeads,
"Worlds Collide Necklace"

Third runner-up is the stunning piece by Triz, called "Midsummer Nights Dream".

Congratulations to you too, Erin and Triz!

Thanks to all of you who visited the Etsy BeadWeavers blog and voted.
I am sure it wasn't easy to pick only one from all the gorgeous entries for this month's challenge; it was hard for me… My favorite piece was the piece "A Free Form Dream Peyote Cuff" by SandFibers.

I found this piece amazingly beautiful, not only because I love free-form, but also because (if I am not mistaking) it is the first free-form piece that Carol Dean of SandFibers have created! Well done, Carol Dean, I really love it! and I hope that this is the first of many more!

Another Front Page by Me

I get a lot of inspiration browsing the items on Etsy and I love collecting them into treasuries - I find this process to be very creative. Amazing how many kinds of beautiful items you can find there and how creative the people who made them are. And I think that I already have the signs of addiction to it, because when Etsy had some problems with that and I couldn't connect to them, it made me angry…
This is another treasury that I have curated and have made it to Etsy's front page. It's a pity that it stayed there for only a short time before the treasury system got mad…

Roses in the Night Sky

This cuff bracelet is my entry in the Etsy BeadWeavers' July challenge "Midsummer Night Dream". I have used the same technique as in the bracelet that is in my header.
I had so much fun making it, as I like to work free form very much. It took me a lot of time to finish it - about 15 hours – including the final finishing and attaching the clasp, but I sure enjoyed every minute! I am also pleased with how it came out – I like its texture and volume. I used blue-grey transparent beads for the background, so their color is changed according to the light coming through them. In the evening the background color is dark almost as the night sky and the tiny yellow beads looks like the stars in the sky… The roses are the "dreamy" part of this work.. ;)

You wouldn't believe what amazing creations the other members of the EBW team have created for this month's challenge! Many of us have chosen the same color palette, but the different techniques used made this collection be rich and varied.

Please visit the Etsy BeadWeavers blog to view all the entries and vote for your favorite. Voting lasts only until the the 15th, so don't postpone your visit…

Concentrating Test

This bracelet took me quite a lot of time to finish, much more than it would normally take for this kind of work. I decided to stitch it in repeating segments, but didn't expect it to be such a difficult test of my concentration! (am I getting old?! :D ) I had to unpick the work several times because I mixed up the order of the beads time after time. Eventually, after almost 6 hours, I was able to call it a finished piece...
