Those of you who read my posts would already know that Herringbone technique is my favorite beading technique in times when I am not very creative and/or being a bit lazy with my beadwork, but still need to satisfy my beading addiction ;). The past few days have been so, and this is what I came up with. I like how the beaded bead came out. It took me about 6 hours to make it, which is quite quickly... It was hard to take pictures of this piece, and the colors shown in the photographs are a bit different from what they really are (don't ask me why, I wouldn't know anything about it :)).
I love those colors. Amazing how creative you can be when you're not feeling creative. Good reason to keep beading 24/7 !
ReplyDeleteThis is great! Again, I love the colors.

Thank you, retrobeads and that's why I love beadweaving - you can make it simple or intricate, depending on how creative you feel.
ReplyDeleteThank you dear Louise! :)
Really pretty, Smadar! I love the color combination.
ReplyDelete:-)
I love herringbone spirals! Great!

That is gorgeous! I also like the very delicate previous necklace too. I'd love to hear about your design inspirations. Do you start with drawings? If they have a "rehab" for bead-a-holics, please don't go! Cheers, Bonnie

ReplyDeleteThank you every one for your nice comments! :)
Bonnie, my inspiration comes from all that surround me, and yes, sometimes I have to make drawing and calculations before I start to bead. The inspration for this particular beaded bead came from a nice carved wooden napkin holder that I saw. I kept its image in my mind, thinking how can I make a similar shape, but with beads, and this is the result :)
This is lovely! The colors are wonderful, and the detail on the focal "beaded bead" gives the impression of being very tailored.
ReplyDeleteAll of your work is beautiful...I don't have the patience for that kind of work...cheers H
ReplyDeleteAwesomely beautiful. If this is what you create when you're not feeling creative, I have to go check out your Etsy and see the gorgeousness that you have there. *smile*
